ARTILLERY CARBINE MATCH.
The E Battery (Christchurch) of the New Zealand Artillery Regiment having i-sued a challenge to the other batteries in different parts of the colony to fire a carbine match, each on its own ground, concluded their firing yesterday, and succeeded in putting together the very re .peotable total of 638 points. It will be seen from the subjoined scores that Armourer Sergeant Mapp made the splendid score of 75 out of a possible 84. The conditions were 200, 400, and 500 yards, seven shots at each distance, Wimbledon targets, no sighting shots allowed.
