MINISTERS' ASSOCIATION.

The usual meeting of this association was held on Monday lsst. There were present— Rev. A. Reid (chairman), Keaat (secretary), Smalley, Herner, Baumber, Elmslie, Richardson, Peters, Clover, Dallaston, Nielson, Crewes, Williams and Taylor. The Revs. J. Crewes and Willums were elected members of the association. At about 11.30 Mr Chiniquy entered the room, and was very cordially received by the meeting. His address, which, lasted a considerable time, and which was well received, abounded with startling facta. At the close of his address the following resolution was proposed by Rev. J. 8. Smallay, seconded by Rev. J. Elmslie, and unanimously adopted—" That having heard a personal statement from Pastor Chiniquy, this association bids him welcome to Christehurch, and accords him the heartiest sympathy and God speed in his mission."
