RIFLE MATCH.
A rifle match was fired at the range. Cashmere, yesterday, between the Engineers and the Artillery Volunteers. The conditions were—Ten men a-side ; ranges, 200, 300, 400, and 500 yards ; 5 shots at each range with their own weapons, and another 5 shots at each range with a change of arms. The weather was very favourable, and some good shooting was made, the Engineers coming off victorious on this occasion, as they did lost year. From the above, it will be seen that the Engineers won by 24 points. Lieutenant Appleby intends calling a meeting of the Association at an early date, with the object of getting the men in trim for tae Nelson meeting.
