Mails close at the ' hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) ns under: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 28. For Australian colonies, per express train to connect with Albion at Dunedin, at 7 30 a.m. For Otago, per Wakatipn, at 1.50 pm.; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.10 p m. train. THURSDAY, JANUARY 29. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian colonies, via rydney, per Botomahana, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will close at Christchurch ou January 31st, and will be duo in Loudon on March 16th. Tho next mail for the United Kingdom, via Suez, will be closed at Christchurch ou February 12th, and will bo duo in London on April Ist. SYDNEY J. DICK, Postmaster.
