Mails close at the < hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: TUESDAY, JANUARY 27. _ For Otago and Australian colonies, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p m. train. For Northern Vorts of New Zealand, per Wellington, at 3 pm. ; late fee letters, 3.20 p.m ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikonra, per Jane Douglas, at 3 p.m. ; lato fee letters, 3 20 p.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. THURSDAY, JANUARY 29. For Northern Porta of New Zsaland and Australian colonies, via Sydney, per Rotomahann, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will close at Christchurch on January 3lst, and will ba dne in London on March 16th. Tho next mail for the United Kingdom, via Suez, will be closed at Christchurch on February 12th, and will be due in London on April Ist. NOTICE. —Tho Post Office at Weka Pass will be discontinued from Jan. 14. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
