Mails close at the Chief Poat Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — SATURDAY, JANUARY 24. For Otago, per Wanaka. For Northern Ports, per Penguin. TUESDAY, JANUARY 27. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Albion. THURSDAY, JANUARY 29. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian colonies, via Sydney, per Rotomahana. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will close at Christchurch on January 31st, and will be due in London on March 16th. Tho next mail for the United Kingdom, via Suez, will be closed at Christchurch on February 12th, and will be duo in London on April Ist. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
