MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Poat Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under:— WEDNESDAY, JANUABY 21. For Australian Colonies, per express train, to Port Chalmers, to connect with s.s. Eotorua, at 7.30 a.m. THUBSDAY, JANUARY 22. For Northern Ports, per Tararua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago, per Wellington. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will close at Christchuroh on January 81st, and will be due in London on March 16th. The next mail for the. United Kingdom, via Suez, will be closed at Christohurch on February 12th, and will be due in London on April Ist. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
