Sailed—January 27. Rio loge, brig, 241 tons, Walker, for Newcastle. C. W. Turner, agent. The steamers Waitaki and Eotorua arrived at 10 a.m. to-day. The former from Port Chalmers, and the Botorua from North. The Atalanta left Foxton on Tuesday with a cargo of timber, and had northerly weather to arrival on Sunday. . The brigantine Island Lily, Captain Cooper, cleared yesterday at the Customs for the Chatham Wands, and towed out last evening, proceeding direct to sea. She took fifty merino rams, Bhipped by Mr T. Bitchie. The Fairlie commenced to disoharge yesterday at No. 4 jetty, .ma. The two Clydesdale horses on board the Eemonstraut it is said will be permitted to land to-day. . The New Zealand Shipping Company s ship Huranui, Captain Barclay, will be a fall ship for London to-day, and is expected to sail oa Thursday next. She will have about 4000 bales of wool besides some grain, tallow, and sundries. Ibe Arethuaa will probably take the Hurunui's berth at No. 4 jetty immediately that vessel towaout. -,'..-.'; j l The Antares, Captain Lewis, oleared yesterday for Wallaroo, S.A., in ballast to load for London. The ship Crusader. Captain Davies, had 4300 bales of wool aboard up to last evening. Her sails are bent, and the vessel will be ready to loavefor London punctual to advertised time. The New Zealand Shipping Company pass a sight entry to-day to clear the manifest of the ship Piako, a notice of which appears elsewhere. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Port Chalmers, January 20. Arrived—Tararua, from the Bluff; Pleiades, from Newcastle. Hailed—Calypso, ship, for London, with nineteen passengers and 4375 bales of wool, 27 bales of skins. 16 casks of pelts, 2 pkga. of sundries. Total value, £87,89?.
