Hawea, from the North, and the Wakatipu. from Port Chalmers, arrived this morning. The Wakatipn was thirty-one hours on the trip up, steaming against an unusually heavy head sea and hard gale. She lert for Wellington and Sydney at 10 a.m. The Hawea sails South to-day. The scho -nor Jessie Nichol, with stone for the graving dock, arrived from Dunedin this morning. The s b. Wanaka, from Port Chalmers, was signalled when our reports left Port. She leaves tonight for Northern Ports. The Union Steamship Company's s s. Wanaka leaves tc-day tor Wellington and Northern ports and the Hawea for Port Chalmers. The s.a. Wakatimi had not arrived from Dunedin at 830 p m. yesterday when our express left. She was to frail last night for Wellington and Sydney. # The ships Huruuni and Crusader are taking in rapidly for London, to sail this month.
