The ketch Prince Btpert, Captain Helming, arxived yesterday from Catlin's Biver. She left there on'Friday night last.'had southerly to Cape Saun--Viers, strong gale thence from N.W.; put into O&moru on Sunday morning ; left same "day, and -since had light winds. A. number of coasting vessels cleared yesterday—the Croydon 'lass for'Waitapn, Torea for Kaipara, Esther for Picton. Oeean Bird for Anahau, Sarah and Mary for Blnff, and Annie Wilson for Auckland, tosa<l on first change of wind. The time-ball was -dropped yesterday at 1.32 Greenwich mean time, or 1.2 New Zealand mean 'tine. The lowermast of the fore-mast of the American barque Elmirando was yesterday unshipped by Mr W. Williams, the timber in a portion of it being decayed. The mast will be scarfed and re-fi-fcted before the vessel leaves for New York, for which port she is expected to load here. THE BEMONSTEANT. A' barque of this name arrived last night from Glasgow, 97 days out. She is commanded by Captain Stoddart, and has brought a large cargo, chiefly consisting of iron and olay pipes. Eight passengere arrived by her, the four in the saloon being old colonists returning to their farms in Otago. No accident occurred during the voyage, which -was a moderate weather one, taken all through. Three valuable Clydesda'e sires form a Sortion of hfcr cargo, and have arrived in good conition.
