Hours, from 9 to 7, for a few. days only. OPINIONS OF THE PEE T S. “ North Otago Times,” Nov. 22n1, 1879. A most noteworthy feature connected with the show was the Camera Gbacura. The Camera is fixed up in a pavilion which is placed on a grassy eminence. It is marvellously interesting. On a canvas surface placed immediately beneath the lens, which is in the dome of the pavilion, the whole town, its surroundings, and the people moving about in the streets can be seen with astonishing distinctness, forming a BEAUTIFUL LIVING PICTURE. Every change in the sky, and the colors on the face of the landscape and in the streets is accurately reflected cu the canvas beneath the eyes of the spectators. The pavilion will be kept open for the public to-day, and we know of nothing in Oamaru more likely to interest and please visitors. “ Oamaru Mail,” Nov. 22nd, 1879. The great Camera Obscura, which was erected near the show gronnd, and was open during the days of the exhibition and to-day, has been a source of great attraction, and it has been acknowledged by all who have seen it to be the most wonderful optical instrument of its kind they havo ever seen. It was manufactured at Mr Proctor’a establishments in Chri tchnroh, and deserves great praise. 12-16 2331 J.
