POST OFFICE NOTICES.

Maila close at tho Chief Post Office for tho following places i subject to necessary alterations j as under : TUESDAY, DECEMBER IS. For Northern Ports, per Wellington, at 7 p.m. Tho guard’s van must not be used for this mail. For Otago, per Rotorua, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 n.m. ; guard’s van, 2.10 p.m. train. THURSDAY, DECEMBER IS. For tho United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), Continentof Europe, India, Africa, Mediterranean Ports, Australian Colonies, and Otago, &0., per express train to the Blnif (to connect with s.s. Rotorua), as follows: Ordinary letters, at 7 a.m. Books and newspapers, at G a.m. Registered letters, at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Money orders, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Late fee letters may bo posted in tho Post Office van attached to tho express train on tho 18th askant. Tho mail via Brindisi will he due in London on February 9th, and the mail via Southampton on February IGth, 1880. For Northern ports of New Zealand and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma, at 1.50 p.m. ; late foe letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.10 p.m. train.
