Tho revenue for last financial year was £3,525,000, and the expenditure £4,725,000. Ho estimates the revenue for the next year at £4,762,000, and tho expenditure at £4,984,000. The deficit is to he covered by an increase of taxes on stamps ; spirits, 2s; wines, sparkling, 4s; on beers, 3d; tobacco leaf, 3d, manufactured, 6d; excise duties on beers and tobacco, 3d. MELBOURNE, December 10.
