KAIAPOI r. PAPANUI.
A match between elevens of tho Kaiapoi and Papanui Clubs was played oa the ground of tho former on Saturday last. Tho local team in its first innings scored 31. Tho Papanui C.O. made 53. The Kaiapoi men in tho second innings scored 22, thus tho visitors were winners in one innings and 2 rune. SYDENHAM YOUTHS t. WOOLSTON. The above match was played at Woolaton on Saturday, and after an exciting game ended in a win for the former by 3 runs, tho scores being—Sydenham Youths, 59 ; VToolston, 56. For tho former, Taj lor 25 (not out), and Wugstaff 10; and for the latter, Bailey 15, and J. Bamford 10, were tho highest contributors. Smith and Bamford were the most successful bowiers for their respective sides, RICHMOND v. ST. ADBANS. Tho return match of tho above chibs was played on Saturday, on tho Christchurch ground, and resulted in an easy victory for tho former by 61 runs on the first innings. Tho scores being—Richmond, 85 ; St. Albans, 24 and 72. Oavanagh 33, and Hardie 16, for the Richmond; and E. Dickenson 11, and Philpott 12, for St. Albans, batted well. Fisher and Eldridge for tho former, and O. Dickenson for the latter, were in good form with the ball.
