[reuter's telegrams.] BRISBANE, December 5. Destructive Fire. A destructive fire has occurred here by which a hotel and six shops have been completely destroyed. ADELAIDE, December 5. Freights are advancing. The HarvestTho harvest everywhere is beyond anticipation. To tho North the average is thirteen bushels. MELBOURNE, December 5. PoliticalIn consoquenco of the vacancy in tho Legislative Assembly caused by tho bankruptcy of Mr Dwyer, the Government consider they obtained the statutory majority. Tho question will bo decided on Tuesday next. A lengthy discussion took place in the Assembly on the third reading of tho Reform Bill. Mr Monro moved an amendment extending the franchise for the Council elections. The amendment was lost by a majority of four. The House divided on the third reading at three o'clock this morning, when there woro 43 in favor and 38 against the Bill, which was lost in consequence of there not being an absolute majority of the House. SYDNEY, December 5. The Education Bill. The second reading of the Education Bill was carried in the Assembly by a majority of forty. Sydney Wool Show. Four hundred and ten entries were received for the Wool Show at the International Exhibition, including twelve from Now Zealand.
