The observations aro taken at 9.30 a.m., and record the temperaturo of tho previous ■ twenty-four hours. EEJUBKS. The first ten days of the month were fine except the 7th, when light showers fell; on the night of the 11th heavy rain from S.W.; 12th, 13lh, and 14th, dull showery days; 15th to 21st, fine days but rain at night or early morn ; the remainder of tho month dull and showery with an occasional fiuo day. A smart shock of earthquake at 12.45 p.m. on the 17th, direction S.E. and N.W. Hail on 15th and 30th. Thunder on 28th. There have been eighteen fiuo days during the month. Tho temperaturo has been lower, and the moisture of the atmosphere and rainfall has been in excess of tho same month for the previous four years. Prevailing winds havo been N.E., E., S.E., and S.W.
