Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) os under : WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Walratipn (to connect with s.s. Rotomahnna at Port Chalmers), at 1.50 p m.; late too letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Kaikouva, per Jauo Douglas, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4. F. r Australian Colonics, per Express train to Port Chalmers (to connect with s.s. Rotomahaua), at 7.30 n.m. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand, Now Soutli Wales, and Queensland, per Tararua. The next mall for tho United Kingdom, Continents of Enropo and America, &c., via San Franoisco, will be closed at Christchurch on Saturday, December Cth, as follows : Ordinary letters, at 5 p.m. Late fee letters, at 5 45 p in. Hooks and newspapers, at 4 p.m. Registered letters, at 4 p.m. Money orders, at 3.30 > m. Guard’s van, 6 30 p in. (special train). This mail is duo in Loudon on tho 20th January, 1880, Tho next mail for United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (tor letters specially addressed per cither of these rentes only), will ho closed a Christchurch ou December 17th. The mail via Brindisi will ho duo in London on February 9th, and tho mail via Southampton on February 16th, 1880.
