POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to neoessary alterations) as under : TUESDAY, DECEMBEE 2. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBEE 3. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Watatipu (to connect with s.s. Eotomahana at Port Chalmers). For Kaikoura, per Jane Douglas, at 3.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.25 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. THUBSDAY, DECEMBEE 4. For Australian Colonies, per Express train to Port Chalmers (to connect with s.s. Eotomahana), at 7.30 a.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, pur Tararua. The next mail for the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, &c, via Ban Francisco, will be closed at Christchuroh on the sth December. This moil is due in London on the 20th January, 1880. The next mail for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be closed at Christchuroh on December 17th. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on February 9th, and the moil via Southampton on February 16th, 1880. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
