POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under : FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian colonies, per Claud Hamilton, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATUBDAY, NOVEMBER 29. For Otago, per Rotomahana. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka. The next mall for the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, &c, via ttan Francisco, will be closed at Christohurch on tho sth December. This mail is due in Loudon on the 20th January, 1880. The next mail for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be closed at Ohristchurch on December 17th. The mail via Brindisi will be duo in London on February 9th, and the mail via Southampton on February 16th, 1880. Notice—On and after Ist December, the Postoffice, Duvauchelle, at the head of the Akaroa Harbor, will be open for the transaction of moneyorder and savings bank business. SYDNEY J. DICK.
