The barques Star of India and Sunbeam arrived "this morning from Newcastle, and the brig Emily, Torea, and Wave of Life from Kaipara, Clio and Eichard and Mary from Waitapu, Annie Hill from "Bluff, and Comet from Pelorus Sound, also arrived during last night and this morning. The s.s. Taiaroa arrived from Wellington this morning, and will leave this afternoon for Timaru and Dunedin. Tho Government steamer Stella camo up the harbor on Tuesday night from the heads, and yesterday left for the Akaroa lighthouse on service. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's circular received by the last mail reports under date October 9th, the Buttermero from tyttelton arrived September 25th, the Waimate and the Himalaya to arrive, the Hereford desSatched by the New Zealand Shipping Company on eptember 29th with 406 immigrants via Plymouth. and the same company's ship Piako to be despatched ■on or about the 21st of October. The Maraval was "to be despatched for Wellington and tho Coriolanus lor Otago by the company. The barque Hopeful cleared yesterday for Newcastle. The barque Victoria, Captain Shimmins, from Hobart Town is out twenty days to-day. She is consigned to Messrs P. Cunningham and Co. The sailing of the s.s. Claud Hamilton for vV ellington, Nelson, and West Coast ports is put off until to-morrow. The s.s. Taiaroa leaves to-day for Timaru and Dunedin.
