POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under:— THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27. For Otago, per Taiaroa, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 28. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Australian colonies, per Claud Hamilton, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2,10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America, &c. f via San Francisco, will bo closed at Christchurch on tho sth December. This mail is due in London on tho 20th January - 1880. The next mail for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be closed at Christchurch on December 17th. The mail via Brindisi will he due in Loudon on February 9th, the mail via Southampton on February 16 th, 1880. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
