The statement respecting the loss of the Albion Company's ship Dunedin (snys the ** Times **) turns out to have been fabricated by a person whose desire to have what he calls a piece of fun with his friends, caused him to set this malicious assertion afloat. Captain Logan, the Albion Company's marine superintendent, on being informed of the canard, at once set to work to discover its author, and in this he was successful, the person making a clean breast of it to the captain, and offering every apology for his cruel conduct. The Dunedin was only 83 days out from Glasgow on Friday, and the wind for tne last fortnight has been dead against her, _ The southerly wind of yesterday was taken advantage of by the vessels in the ready for sea to leave for their respective destinations. The barques Tasso and Sea Shell left for Newcastle, the Empress of China for Sonthport, Jessie for Hokianga, and the Isabella for Nelson. SHIPPING TELEGEAMS. Auckland, November 25.
