CORRESPONDENCE.

LYTTELTON REGATTA.

A SUGGESTION, To the Editor of the Globe. Sib, — I understand that the cause of the committee not being able to issue such an attractive money programme in this year’s sport as in the former is owing to want of funds. If the committee will allow me I would suggest to them a way of augmenting the funds, and that is by selling the right of the sale of programmes. At the late race meetings and cattle show the amount given for the right amounted to over £l5O, and sorely on such a red letter day they ought to obtain a handsome sum for the right of selling the cards. Trusting that the hint will be taken, and will be the means of augmenting the funds, I am, &«., AQUATIC.
