The steamers Hnia aud Jane Donglas did not get away.for K.iikonra last night owing to the bad weather. They will probably sail to-night. The steamers Srathera Cross and Wellington arrived from tho North to-day, the former to sail back to Auckland, aud the Wellington for Dunedin. The s.s. Wanganui, from Dunedin, en route North, arrived this morning also. The following statistics of tho mercantile marine Of the United States of America are gleaned from the annual report for IS7S of the Chief of the Bnreau of Statistics, just issued .— During tho year tho vesiels built in the United States, of all classes, Slumbered 1255. This number includes 38+ steamers, 81 ships, 7 brigs, 279 schooners, and 557 sloops, canal boats, and barges, with a total tonnage of 235,303. The tonnage of American and foreign vessels entered at seaports of tho United States during tho year was 11,530.527, of which 5,515,020 catered at New York, 931.521 at Baltimore, 938,102 at Boston, and 832.027 at Philadelphia. The tonnage Of tho steam vessels entering from foreign ports at all the seaports amounted to 5.310,531, of which 4 172,497 were foreign, and 1,138,114 American.
