POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Poßt Office for the fol lowing places (subject to necessary alterations) as uuder : WEDNESDAY, NOV. 19. For Kaikoura and Northern ports of New Zealand, per Jane Douglas, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.20 p.m ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Kaikonra and Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Huia, at 4.45 p.m. Gnaid's van must not be used for Huia's mail. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed by either of these routes only), India, China, Mediterranean Ports, Otago, and Australian Colonies, &c, per Arawata, as follows: Ordinary letters, 1 p.m. Late fee letters, 1.30 p.m. Eegistered letters, 12 noon. Books and now papers, 12 noon. Money orders, 12 noon. Guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. FRIDAY, NOV. 21. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), Australian Colonies, Otago, &c, per express train, to connect with s.s. Arawata, at the Bluff, at 7.30 a.m. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on the 12th of January, 1880, and the mail via Southampton onll9th January, 18S0. The mail via Brindisi is due in London on January 12th. 1880, and the mail via Southampton on January 19th, 1880. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
