TRAINING NOTE 3. By Sinuad. On Thursday morning T. Lyford was the first to show on the course, and commenced proceedings by giviDg Romeo and Silverstream a sharp half-mile spin. Mata and Natator were sent twice round, the first circuit steady, the seoond at a good pace. Sir Modred and Fable went a mile and a half at a fair pace. The Waimea oolt, Oberon, and Atlantic, were jumped off together, and after half-a-mile or so had been covered the youngßter was pulled off, the other two going on a good striding gallop of a mile and a half more. Piscatorious and Grand Duchess were sent twice round the plough, the second round fast. Midge cantered onco round slowly. TeWhetu and Laertes did a strong gallop of about three miles. Luna did steady work. Playboy and York went together onco round at a good pace. The Agent, with the sweaters on, did three miles slow. Robin Hood, stripped, accompanied Templeton a mile fast. The old horse was then picked up by Titania, who brought him home, the gallop being fast throughout. Foul Play, Marie Antoinette, and On Dit, made their first appearance, and were sent a mile and a half steady. Longlands did a good gallop of a mile and a half by himself, and Zulu and Lara cantered. Maritana went a good strong gallop of about three milep, going in grand form. Hornby, accompanied Lone Hand a long very slow canter for three miles, and the Miss Flat filly and Sweetbriar filly went a duster from the half-mile poßt home. Mr Webb's team were restricted to walking exercise. Tim Whifller was strongly supported during the day for the Welcome Stakes. THE METROPOLITAN MEETING.
