CANTERBURY SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.
The ordinary monthly committee meeting of the above Union was held on Monday, in the rooms of the Young Men’s Christian Association, Colombo street. The president in the •chair. The following schools were represen ed :—Wesleyan, Durham street, Orescent road, and Sydenham, St. Asaph street United Methodist Free Church, Baptist, Oxford terrace ; Congregational, Manchester street; Presbyterian, St. Paul’s; Primitive Methodist, Cambridge terrace. Mr Dexter was appointed visitor for the remainder of the year. Me Sunday School Teachers’ Institute, the eub-committee appointed at the last special committee meeting of the Union to draw up a code of rules and regulations, submitted their report, which was approved of and adopted. It was resolved that a general meeting of teachers be called during the present month, the same to be advertised. The Primitive Methodist Sunday Schools at Timaru and Greendule were admitted to the Union. The secretaries were appointed a sub-committee to select hymns for the forthcoming anniversary, to be held the last Sunday in December. The meeting closed with prayer.
