Passenger—Mr J. Smith. A report was circulated this morning that a ■vessel under jury mast hnd been seen, on the coast near Timarn. Captain Anderson, of the s.s. Wellington, reports passing’no such vessel. The report may be therefore considered a canard. The s.s. Wellington arrived from Akaroa and Dunedin this morning, and is to sail to-night for Wellington, Northern ports, and Manukan.
