THE DEUTSCHLAND. A stranger entered the harbor yesterday morning flying the German flag. The Deutschland, as the ▼easel proved to be, is a smart little barque of about 500 registered tonnage, four years old, of German build, and owned in Bremen. Her last port of departure was Chimbote, one of the Peruvian ports, whence ahe 1 has‘brought upwards of 400 tons of sugar, comprising three classes. The cargo is represented by the owner. Mons. Lauri, who is a passenger by'the vessel. The Deutschland left Chimbote on September 13th, thus making a forty-seven days' passage. She met with continuous fine weather to the Kermadec Islands, where head winds were encountered for several days, but no storms of consequence. The East Cape of New Zealand was sighted on October 21th. since which moderate winds prevailed. A few days prior to making the JCermadec Islands, a man-of-war was sighted beating to the eastward. The vesssl looked like a French war ship. On discharge of her present cargo, the Deutschland will probably be loaded for a Peruvian port with grain. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
