JOURNALISTS AND MINISTERS.
To the Editor of the Globe. Sib, —I know nothing either of the “Satur day Advertiser” or of its “Christchurch correspondent ” or of “ Geo. R. Hart j” but 1 do know something of the “ Christchurch Ministers’ Association,” and can assure the “ Saturday Advertiser ” and its “ Christchurch correspondent ” and “ Geo. R. Hart,” that the Association has never contemplated—never even mentioned—the formation of a society for the “ conversion of journalists.” “ Geo. R. Hart,” I imagine, is well acquainted with the Ministers of Christchurch, or he would not have done them the injustice of thinking them capable of the affair ho refers to. His epithets and his rhetoric are not such as the ministers of Christchurch indulge in, I am almost afraid that the ministers of Christchurch will be wicked enough to think from Geo. B. Hart’s style of writing that he might be improved by “ conversion,” The Ministers’ Association is not lacking in its appreciation of the “journalistic fraternity in Christchurch,” and has no idea of any special mission in that direction. Yours, Ac., W. H. KBAST, Secretary of the Association. North Belt, Got. 28th.
