TRAINING NOTES. [By Sinbad.] Tuesday morning was very cold, and in consequence trainers were rather later than usual in putting in an appearance. Ted Cults, as usual, was the first to show, and commenced proceedings by sending Natator and Mata—the latter with the rugs on, about two miles at a steady pace. Eablo was sweated and Sir Modred cantered in the centre of the course. Luna was sent a mile and a-half by herself, and Te Whetu, who was very fresh and well, went the same distance. Silverstream accompanied Romeo in a fast gallop on the inside gallop, and the two - year - old being pulled up, the steeplechaser wont on by himself once round the plough. Numa, with the sweaters on, was sent_ about three miles at a fair pace, and Robin Hood, stripped, went about the same distance. Maid of Honor, stripped, went twice _ round the plough, the latter round mending her pace a bit. Her stable companion, Tim Whifflor, did a steady gallop of about three miles, finishing pretty fast and moving very nicely. Laertes, with a hood on, did a good gallop turn round the plough, and then Tera, Lara, and linking Fund were sent a good strong gallop of a mile and a half. Hilarious cantered. Chancellor, with the rugs on, went a steady gallop once round, being picked up at the last turn by York. Hornby, Maritana, and Templeton were sent about two miles in company, Titania joining them after they had gone half a mile. Lone Hand and The Hook, the latter stripped, did a good serviceable gallop of about three miles. Mr Brabazon’s colt and the Tantrums filly went a turn round the plough, and Gamballo and Pinfire were sent a good striding gallop of about four miles. Daisy, Dundee, and Edward J ames went a good mile in company, and then Betrayer and Adamant, both stripped, were sent a clinking gallop of rather over a mile.
