I [SPECIAL TO " GLOBE."] DREADFUL RAILWAY ACCIDENT. SYDNEY, October 21. An accident has occurred on the Maitland railway. Forty were seriously injured. The cause of the accident was the breakage of the couplings. SPORTING. The betting is heavy on the Belbourne races, the odds remaining unaltered. SYDNEY, October 20. NEW ZEALAND AT THE EXHIBITION. Crowds are arriving at the Exhibition. Dr. Hector is actively advertising the wealth and resources of New Zealand. AQUATIC. A match for £4OO has been made between Trickett and H. McLean. Serious floods are reported at Albury Tumut, and Adelong, causing great loss of property, A destructive fire occurred at Maitland. Four shops were completely destroyed. HOBART TOWN, October 20. A NO-CONFIDENCE VOTE. The Legislative Assembly has passed a vote of want of confidence in the Ministry.
