♦ ATJCTIONEEES* lEEPOETS. Messrs Eobert Wilkin and Co. report under date October 9th.At the Addington Yards, on Wednesday, 3233 sheep, 489 head of cattle, and 68 pigs were yarded. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the bidding for fat stock was animated throughout, and our prices are—Fat cross-bred ewes, shorn, 9s : fat steers, £lolss j fat heifers, £8 ; store steers, from £5 10s to £6 5s ; springers, from £5 to £8 17s 6d. Sheepskins.—At our sale to-day 2056 skins were catalogued. There was a large attendance _of buyers, and biddings were keen, with the following result: —Butchers' crossbred, large, 4s to 4s lOd each ; do crossbred, medium, 3s 3d to 4s each; do crossbred, small and inferior, 2s 6d to 3s 3d each; do merino, large, 3s lOd to 4s 8d ; do merino, medium, 3s to 3s lOd each ; do merino, small and inferior, Is 2d to 3s each ; lambskins, 6d each. Tallow.—There was the usual attendance of the trade, and prices were firm. Best clean, wellsaved, to 2Jd per lb.; second quality, to 2d per lb.; inferior and heated, to ljd per lb. Hides and calfskins, unsold.
