The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on October 11th, and will bo duo in London on 25th November, Not®.—On and after Ist October the mail service to Spreydon, Halswell, Tai Tapu, and Green Park will be a daily one, closing at Christchurch at 2.30 p.m. Mails from these offices will arrive at Christchurch at 11 a.m. A Post-office will be opened at South Malvern, at the store of Mr Grindrod. Mails will close at Christchurch daily at 6 a.m., and arrive at Christchurch from South Malvern at 6.40 p.m. daily. A Post-office will be opened at the school-house, Kowal Bash. Mails will close at Christchurch each Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 6 a.m., and arrive at Christoharch on the same days at 6.40 p.m. A Post-office will bo opened at the railway extension works, Weka Pass, at tbo store of Messrs White and Co.
