Malls close at the Chief Post Office (or the following places (subject to necessary alterations) aa nu/ie 1 * i THURSDAY, SEPT 25.
For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed by either of these routes only), India, South Africa, Egypt, China, Otago, aud Australasian Colonies, &c., &0., per Eingarooma : Ordinary letters, 1 p.m. Late fee letters, 1.45 p.m. Boohs and newspapers, 12 noon. Registered letters, 12 noon. Guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train.' For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Albion, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. train. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Huia, at 4.45 p.m. Guard’s van must not be used for Hnia’s “ Ml ’ FRIDAY, SEPT. 26. Supplementary mails for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Brindisi and Southampton, (for correspondence addressed by either of these routes only), India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Australian Colonies, &0., &c., per express train, at 7.30 a.m., to connect with Arawata at Bluff. The mail vialßrindisi will be due in London on November 17th, and the mail via Southampton on November 24th.
The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will bo closed at Christchurch on October 10th, and will bo due in London on 25th November. HYDHEY J, DICK. Chief Postmaster.
