Malls close at the Chief Post Ofilo« for this following places (subject to necessary alterations) as under: — MONDAY, SEPT. 22. For Otago, per Wanaka, at 11.15 a.m. ; late foe letters, at 11.25 p.m. : guard’s van, 2.10 p.m. train. TUESDAY, SEPT. 23. For Northern ports of New Zealand, Sydney, and Brisbane, perWakatipn, at 4.45 p.m. Guard’s van must not he used for Wakatipu’s mails. For Chatham Islands, per Omaha (from Auckland), at 4.46 p.m. Guard’s van must not he used. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be closed at Christchurch on September 24. The mail via Brindisi will be duo in London on November 17th, and the mail via Southampton on November 24th. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
