Arawata arrived this morning from Wellington, aud the Huia from Kaikoura. Tho Arawata is to sail south this afternoon, and the Huia for Dunedin sailed at noon. The s.s. Oreti, for Wellington, is to sail to-day, and the Hawea for Wellington and Northern Forts. The Mary King from Picton, and Sea Bird from Kaipora, arrived this morning, and a brigantine was signalled whoa our express left port. The barque Bells, temporarily repaired, will be brought alongside Peacock's Wharf this morning to take iu balaat sufficient for her to go ou to Port Chalmers with. It is proposed to have her taken down to-day in tow by tho s.s. Arawata, and on arrival she will bo immediately docked and cleaned. The s.s. Hawea, from the South, is to sail to-day on her usual trip to Auckland, via the East Coast. Tho Himalaya, barque, for London, will probably Bail to-day, tho steam tug taking her from the Pier to the stream tho 6rst thing this morning. The s.s. Oreti, Captain McArthur, arrived yesterday, at l.io p.m., from Oanmru and Dunedin, and •will sail to-day for Wellington, Wanganui, Taranaki, and Manukau. The barque Dochra sailed for Oregon yeterday, being towed out by tho p.s. Lyttelton. Tho Examiner sailed for Greymouth, and tho Sarah and Mary also for Greymonth. The Clematis cleared for Hokitika, and the Princo Alfred for Fioton. . , , ... A diver was at work during yesterday picking up the loose atones off tho new extension to tho Gladstone Pier, so as to thoroughly clear tho berthing ground there before it is occupied. The steam launch Eclipse resumes her ferry service to Governor's Bay, commencing to-morrow. Two trips daily are announced. Tho steamer has been completely overhauled, and is now in fine order. Excursion and picnic parties are informed that she is open for hire. Tho barque Cabertoidh, at the Tunnel Wharf, was taking in produce for Auckland yesterday, and the Adelphoi, at tho same jetty, was patting out the remainder of her coals.
