Mw.Hn olose at the Chief Post Office ter the toUowing places (subject to necessary alterations) as under:— WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 17, For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Southern Cross, at 1.50 p.m,; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. THURSDAY. SEPT. 18. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Arawata, at 1.53 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago, per Wakatipu, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s vau, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will bo closed at Christchurch on September 24. The mail via Brindisi will bo dne in London on November 17th, and the mail via Southampton on November 24th.
