The Arawata left Melbourne at 13.30 p.m. on the Hth, with the Suez mail, thirty-four saloon and for y-four steerage passengers, and 3 10 tons or cargo, for all ports. She sails at 5 P-m. for Dunedin. She experienced light westerly winds and fine weather during the passage, and arrived ott the Bluff last night, but. the weather being very thick. Captain Sinclair deemed it prudent not to attempt to enter the harbor, and anchored under Stewart’s Island until this morning. A special train was waiting Inst night till 9 p.m. to convey the mails to Christchurch. Saloon passengers for Dunedin—Mesdames Crawshaw and Brown, Messrs Martin, Tomkins, Hiokling, Chapman, Young, Emmett, Miller, Eow, Eeith, Mr and Mrs Heath, Mr and Mrs Saudeman and family. Mr and Mrs Gill, Mr and Mrs Brown, Misses McLaren, Williamson, and Irwin; eighteen steerage passengers, and seventy-eight tons cargo. For Lyttelton—Mesrss Pryde and Porter: ten steerage passengers, and fifty-five tons cargo. For Wellington Messrs Innes, England, Timothy, Pigott, Lamb, Eev. Harvey; ten steerage passengers, and sixty-eight tona cargo.
