For Otago and Australian colonies, per Tararna, at 1.50p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For United Kingdom, Continents of Europe end America (via San Francisco), China, Japan, West Indies, Sandwich Islandß, Northern Ports of Now Zealand, &c, per Penguin, as follows : Ordinary letters, 1 p.m.; late fee letters, 1.45 p.m. ; books and newopnpers, 12 noon; registered letters, 12 noon; money orders 11 a.m.; guard's van. 2.40 p.m. train. This mail will bo duo in London on October 28th. MONDAY. SEPT. 15. For ■Wellington and Westport, per Wanganni, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. TUESDAY, SEPT. 1(3. For Australian colonies, per express train, to connect with Tararna at Port Chalmers at 7.30 a.m. Tho next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be closed at Christchnrch on September 24. The mail via Brindisi will bo duo in London on November 17th, and the mail via Southampton on November 24th. Note.—A post office called Mayfleld has been established on tho south side of tho Hinds, near tho forks of tho river. Mails for Mayfleld close at ChristcTiurch each Saturday at 7.30 a.m., arriving 1 at 1.45 p.m. saneo day.
