For Australian colonies, per Tararua, at 1.50 p.m. late letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America (via San Francisco), China, Japan, West Indies, Sandwich Islands, Northern Ports of New Zealand, Ice., per Penguin, as follows : Ordinary letters, 1 p.m.; late fee letters, 1.45 p.m.; books and newspapers, 12 noon; registered letters, 12 noon; money orders 11 a.m. ; guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. This mail will be due in London on October 28th. TUESDAY, SEPT. 16. For Australian colonies, per express train, to connect with Tararua at Port Chalmers at 7.30 a.m. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either or these routes only), will bo closed at Christchorch on September 24. The mail via Brindisi will bo due in Loudon on November 17th, and the mail via Southampton on November 24th. Note.—A post office called Mayfleld has been established on the south sido of the Hinds, near the forks of tho river. Mails for Mayfleld close at Christchnrch each Saturday at 7.30 a.m., arriving at 1.45 p.m. sane day. Mails for Climtchurch close at Mayfleld each Saturday at 7 a.m., arriving at 2 p.m. same day.
