visits. At the wool sales to-day, 7100 bales were catalogued. There was a better demand, but without quotable change. There was increased attendance of French buyers; 18185 bales were withdrawn. ST. PETERSBURG, September 3. Torgukassoff succeeds Lazareff. LONDON, September 4. The grape crop is a failure, and brandy advanced a 6d, and a further rise of 3s expected.
