Mafia close f.t the Chief Poet Office for the f allowing places (subject to necessary alterations) as under SATUEDAT, SEPT. €. For Otago, per Hawea at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.15 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Kaikoora, per Jane Douglas, at A.AS p.m.; guard’s van must not bo used for Jane Douglas's mails. For Northern ports of Now Zealand, per TVanaka, at 7 p.m.; guard’s van must not bo *used for Wanaka’s mails. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on September 12th, and will bo duo in London on October 28th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be close at Christchurch on September 21.
