THE KAIAPOI ELECTION.

To the Editor of the (Jlobe. Sib, —In reference to a letter in last evening’s “Star” anent Mr Wearing’e meeting at Eangiora, I have to say that the horn-blower was one of Mr Wearing’s own party. Several of the larrikine brought from his own town were the noisiest in the room, and, while they might have thought they were enthusiastically cheering their candidate, the residents here were doing no such thing, as the poll will declare on Friday, The gentleman intended to be referred to in the aforesaid letter was never near the meeting. Yours, &c , INDEPENDENT ELECTOE. Eaiapoi, September Ist, 1879.
