Moils close at the Chief Posts Office for tht fallowing plaoeß (subject to necessary alterations) as under:— SATURDAY, AUGUST 30. For Otago, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m. Late fee letters, 2.10 p.m. j guard's van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Ladybird, at 7 p.m. The guard's van, must not be used for this mail. MONDAY, SEPT. 1. For Kaikoura and Northern Ports, per Huia, at 4.45 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY, SEPT. 2. For Otago and Australian colonies, per Albion. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Franoisoo will be closed at Christchuroh on September 12th, and will be due in London on October 28th. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for correspondence addressed per either of these routes only), will be close at Christchuroh on September 24. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on November 17th, and the mail via Southampton on November 24th. Notice.—Only town rate of postage (Id per halfounce) is charged on letters posted in Christchurch, Sydenham, or suburban receiving boxes, for delivery by local letter carriers throughout these boroughs or suburbs. euroNHYj.
