[keuteb’s telegbams.] MADRID, August 16. Tho marriage of King Alfonso with ths Archduchess Mario Christina is fixed to take place on the 28th November. LONDON, August 16. Tho subscriptions for the Wellington City Loan amounted to £365,000. The tenders at 104 which wore received were 33 per cent, of the whole. Throe per cent. Consols are at 97-f. Tho five per cent. N.Z. 10-40 loan is quoted at 1031. Best Australian beef tallow, 32s 6d per cwt.; do mutton tallow, 34s 6d per cwt. At the wool auctions during tho past week 44,600 bales have been catalogued. There was a fair demand for scoured wool. Prices favor buyers. WASHINGTON, Aug. 16. Tho American harvest prospects aie favorable. QUEBEC, Aug. 17. Serious riots occurred between Eronch and Irish ship laborers at Quebec. Several wore killed or wounded. The artillery and military wore called out.
