CHEISTOHUBOH. Monday, August 18. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., RM, J. P. L Jameson, Eiq., W. V. Melville Walker, Esq., and George Hall, Esq., J.Ps.J. The following is the report of the business done yesterday after we went to P re " j ASBAULT.-John Parsons was fined 40s and costs for assaulting James Hawkins on the 6t Abusive Laiwjuaqb.—Thomas Guscott was charged with making use of language calculated to provoke a breach of the peace. The defendant admitted the offence. On the evidence of the complainant it appeared that the language used was of a gross nature, and his Worship, who fined the defendant the full penalty of £5, eaid he never heard worse or more aggravating language from any one. Assault.—Alfred Lewis was charged with violently assaulting James Wells on the Oth August in Hagley park. In the absence ot the complainant the case was dismissed.
