The stock was to be in amount about the same aa it was at Angust stock-taking, 1878, so 1 find that I must Dispose of from twenty-six to twenty-eight thousand pounds (£26,000 to £28,000) worth of STOCK at some price. To effect this object, 1 shall on SATIJEDAT MAY 31st, submit the Whole Stock of over sixtyfive thousand pounds 4365,000 worth, at such prices as will accomplish my purpose of bringing It to the desired amount. -M3HN BALLANTYNE, Trading as J, BALLANTYNE & CO. The exceedingly low price of Goods in the Home Markets has induced our bnyer to purchase freely; Customers will therefore have the advantage of selecting from the Largest and Cheapest Stock ever offered in DUNSTABLE HOUSE. The Goods are quite new, and bought from the Manufacturers, thus avoiding Intermediate profit. They have been marked at an ordinary and reasonable advance, and are now offered at REDUCED PRICES simply for the above named reason. SEE CATALOGUES, Which will be issued with " Lyttelton Times,” “ Press,” &0., &c., and can be obtained at Dunstable House. The Goods ore all in stock in quantity at the Reduced Prices named in the Catalogue on the date of its issue ; but as the quantities in some cases are limited, buyers will do well to call early. We mark all Goods in plain figures; the reduced prices are in red ink. Not withstanding that we are offering the Cheapest Goods ever shown in Dunstable House, we shall aa usual give ONE SHILLING OFF EVERY POUND PURCHASED FOR CASH.
