[SPECIAL TO “ GLOBE.]” SYDNEY, August 15. Tho Kelly gang stuck up the Commercial Bank at Lancefield, and robbed it of everything. They held the township completely for several hours. [beuter’s telegrams.] MELBOURNE, August 16. It is almost certain that the Commercial Bank robbers were not the Kellys. SYDNEY, August 15. Kerosene, diamond brand. Is 7d per gallon; New Zealand wheat, 4s 3d per bushel; oats, 2s 6d. Other lines unchanged. Parliament is further prorogued to September 23rd. Tho population of the colony on June 30th was estimated at 712,019 persons. Sailed—Wakatipu, for Wellington. ADELAIDE, August 15. Wheat, 5s 2d to 5s 3d per bushel. MELBOURNE, August 15.
The Lancefield branch of the Commercial Bank of Australasia was stuck up up to-day by two men when first opened in the morning. Morrison, tho accountant, was gagged. A local customer was locked up in the manager’s room in tho yard, with four other men during the rohbory. Tho Bank was robhod of £665 sterling. Tho police do not think it was tho Kelly gang. Black trackers are starting in pursuit. Some believe tho robbers of tbe Bank at Lancefield were Ned Kelly and Hart, but nothing definite is known.
