The former was repaired at the workahop of Mr J. Chillis, and a fresh supply of the latter obtained, the vessel proceeding on her V *Mrr ß XngUs?the t iocal agent, states that the Orient Steam Company has offered the Chancellor of the Exchequer to establish a fortnightly mail service with the Australian colonies. The s.s. Tararua, from Melbourne via South, is due to-day, and sails for Auckland, via East Coast ports and Wellington, this evening. The Eialto is a full ship, and is expected to take her departure to-day for London, going direct from the wharf to sea.
